Dear Di, Paul, Dee, Rich & Jo

I don't know how to begin to express our appreciation and thanks to you all for giving us such a wonderful time on Saturday night.
It had been the most fantastic day up 'till then but you guys were just the icing on the cake! In your skilful hands we all had an absolute ball and retired to bed well-oiled, exhausted, feet in agony... But so happy!
Thank you again

Rose & John

Oh My God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just when I thought you couldn't get any better you have surpassed yourselves again. You've added some more quality tunes (i.e. Dakota and Vertigo) to your play list and once again rocked the foundations of the cricket club. Everyone had a fantastic night and my friends from Northampton are now life long Bombers fans after a memorable night in your company. I might remember some of the words if I didn't get so rat a*#sed but it is all good fun. I sung Handbags word perfect in the car this morning so I will just put it down to the gallon and a half of John Smiths I drank. I will try and get some practise for the party at the Cocked Hat that you are playing at in October and you never know I may be able to guest on a couple of tracks again. Once again thanks for a great night and I will be looking to book you again soon for another blast at the cricket club. Looking forward to the live CD so get my name down for one as soon as they are out. I would recommend the Lancaster Bombers to anyone as they never fail to entertain.

All the best Dee, Rich, Jo and Walshy and thanks again

Cheers to pint-sized band

By Beth Broomby - Westmoreland Gazette Dec 2003

IF YOU like live music and are partial to a pint, you can't go wrong with the Lancaster Bombers a band named after a beer!
The crew from Bolton-le-Sands have been slowly building their profile since they got together in 1997 and plumped to name themselves after a locally brewed alcoholic beverage.
Specialising in covers, they have forged a reputation as a solid pub and party band with a playlist that has the feelgood factor running through it like a stick of rock and a densely packed bookings diary.
Songs on their regular playlist include time-worn classics such as The Beatles' Eight Days A Week and The La's There She Goes to more contemporary tracks such as The Strokes' Last Night and Travis' Why Does It Always Rain On Me.
The band are David D Spowart, lead vocals and guitar; his sister Jo Whinham drummer and harmonising vocals; and Jo's husband Richard Whinham on bass.
Their influences range from The Beatles to the Stereophonics and David Gray

Dear Lancaster Bombers!

Many, many thanks for the fantastic gig you did for us on the 19th March 2004. We can not think of a better way to start married life than dancing to your great band!
So many people commented on how fantastic the band was and we both agree that it was the best wedding we have ever been to (I know we are bound to be a bit biased!).
Please pass on our thanks to everyone involved, everything was fantastic.
Again, thank you so much for everything and the best of luck for the future.

Best regards

James & Eleanor.

Lancaster Guardian
Poulton Neighbourhood Management's aim to cheer up the shoppers was a huge success as live music blasted out of Euston Square on a Saturday afternoon in July.
...At 2 o'clock the jazz musicians moved over and it was time for some Rock and Roll! The Lancaster Bombers played a massive range of songs from the last 50 years and there was something for everyone. Feet were tapping, hands were clapping, and children were dancing to the music their parents enjoyed. "The Lancaster Bombers Trio really rocked!"

Dear Bombers

I would like to thank you for making the transition to the ranks of 'old fart' one of the best nights I have ever had. It was great to see all my friends and family with big smiles on their faces because of the quality entertainment you provided. It was a really fun night and I will remember it for a long time to come. I can't wait for the next gig at the cricket club but we'll have to get some weaker lager in for Rich as the Kronenbourg crept up on him and did him, but in his defence he wasn't the only one. If you are thinking of booking the Lancaster Bombers then think no more because this band never fail to entertain. Quality music from quality musicians and damn decent people to boot. Keep on rocking!!!!!!

Thanks to you all

Hi Guys,

Saw you last night at the Longlands and was very impressed. Excellent vocals, thumping, tight bass and a female drummer who can really play! The sound man did a great job too, managing to create a chest pounding high quality sound that made it pleasurable to listen to, even at such high volumes in such a confined space.

You are capable of playing far more prestigious gigs and I'm sure you will in the future. Good luck.
